Magnolia Beautification

Magnolia Beautification


Recognized by Keep Mississippi Beautiful with numerous state awards, Magnolia Beautification is a group of volunteers who work for the betterment of Magnolia.  The emphasis of this group is on beautification, litter prevention, recycling, plus special projects that promote the City of Magnolia.


Meetings are on the last Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at the Magnolia City Hall and are open to all.


Beautification operates from memorials, donations and membership in Keep Pike County Beautiful earmarked for Magnolia.  Membership in KPCB may be mailed to P.O. Box 2161, McComb, MS  39649 or donations to:  Magnolia Beautification  175 East Railroad Avenue, Magnolia, MS  39652.


Magnolia Beautification is a member of Keep Pike County Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep Mississippi Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful.  KPCB meetings are on the fourth Monday at noon at the Keep Pike County Beautiful office located at 109 Main Street, McComb.  The KPCB phone number is 601-249-4694.


Beautification is responsible for the planting of the planters downtown, the city grounds planting, mulching, the antique luggage cart display on the depot grounds, the banners, murals, annual scarecrow displays, helping the city with Christmas decoration, city litter free events, plus Evening in Lights during the Azalea Festival.


Annual Events:


Great American Clean-up - Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Sign in and trash bags can be picked up at 180 South Cherry Street in Magnolia.  Clean up will continue through March 14, 2015.



Evening in Lights - Friday, March 27, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Magnolia Depot.  It will be an evening of dining and dancing in the Magnolia Historic Railroad Park and Depot featuring the music of Pat Cornacchione's Swing Band.  Tickets are $15 which includes a catered dinner by Smithie Buie.  Tickets may be purchased at Magnolia Banks or City Hall.
